I come here to check my answers, but for some reason this week they are covered by pop up ads for dangerous sites. so in case it's not just me having that problem I'll say my guess is Gloucester Rugby and Hoover.

For some reason our answers weren't showing earlier, but we agree on Gloucester Rugby and Hoover.
I think that the Sporting Hero is Big Daddy who's real name is Shirley Crabtree, therefore CRABTREE is the correct answer.
We believe that RUANE is the answer for this one, but it's always just our suggested answer. Our reason for this is that Giant Haystacks' real name was Martin Austin RUANE and he was married to RITA Boylan.
I usually come here to check my answers before submitting. I actually enjoy working out the clues for myself. This week's answers don't appear to be here yet, so I think I'll take a loo break

We thought so ourselves for a while, but a user pointed out that Clapham Junction was relevant to the second question rather than the first. It's up to you though...
Its definitely Wandsworth Road Station. It opened on 1 March 1863.

It’s Clapham Junction not Wandsworth - check the years of opening.
Edited: Thanks Lorraine but, on reflection and helped by other comments, we believe the answer is Wandsworth Road. They both opened in the same year.
But Wandsworth also opened 1863, and the cafe where A-ha filmed Take on Me, is only yards yards east-northeast of it. The Clapham common clue is relevant to the second destination for actress not the station. I think you were right the first time ( I come here to compare answers) I have entered as Wandsworth.

Clapham Junction is nowhere near the old Savoy Cafe, which is just over the road from Wandsworth Road station. The Scottish stuff is a red herring imho.
