Competition and Link Verification

All competitions and links listed on our website are reviewed by hand, using a set of guidelines to award them a verification status - Gold, Silver, Bronze and Pending. There's no AI involved, just us! For transparency, our guidelines for each verification level, and the key elements we're looking for, are shown below (these may be subject to change).

Verification levels

Gold verified

Our top level status.

• Company registration verified.
• Winner announcement/confirmation process documented, if relevant.
• Organiser/Promoter identity confirmed.
• Terms and conditions reviewed.
• Closing date is visible, if relevant.

Silver verified

Our mid-level status where some elements are missing to gain a higher status.

• Organiser/Promoter identity confirmed.
• Terms and conditions reviewed.
• Closing date is visible, if relevant.

Bronze verified

Our low-level status where several of the elements are missing to gain a higher status, but one we would still have confidence in entering. Competitions will be awarded this level if they are missing terms and conditions, or a closing date. We will often not list a competition at all if it doesn't have terms and conditions available to read or doesn't show a closing date.

Pending verification

This is where we haven't fully reviewed the competition against our criteria. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't enter, just that we haven't completed our competition verification yet.

• Newly submitted, or one of our older competitions that will be reviewed soon.
• Under review by our team.

What happens if a competition fails verification?

If a competition doesn't meet our criteria we won't list it. If it was pending, it will be removed.

Why do we have a verification process?

Our competitions go through a verification process for us to provide a visual indicator of our view on their reliability to enter. Verification is intended as a guide only and is not a guarantee.

Due diligence

We take no responsibility for your interaction with any of the third party websites that we link to. Please complete your own checks and due diligence for validity when entering and enter at your own discretion. If you feel that something may not be right when viewing a competition, stop and don't enter. If you see any competitions you don't want to enter, please contact us and we'll take a look.

Prize value

We provide a star rating for the value of the prizes that can be won, with a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high). This can be used as an approximate guide as to what the prize is worth, but most of the time it's relatively easy to work out anyway.
